Hey there! My name is Travis Black and I'm a piano technician based north of Kansas City in Kearney, Missouri. I've played piano for most of my life. As a pianist, I understand the need for an instrument that sounds and feels as good as it possibly can. That's why I decided to pursue the art of piano service.
I studied music in college. One of my professors was also the university's piano tuner. I found the process so interesting that I decided to ask if he would teach me how to tune. So we made a deal: I traded him labor on his home projects for piano tuning lessons. I still think I got the better end of the deal! Since then, I've kept a steady piano service schedule.
I'm excited to continue serving piano owners in the Kearney and northern Kansas City regions!

SERVICES
Tuning
To keep your piano at its best, it should be tuned a minimum of 1-2 times per year. For churches and schools, pianos should be tuned 3-4 times per year.
Cleaning and Repairs
Cleaning a piano inside and out can be quite a task! And most minor repairs can often be performed onsite. Pricing varies.
Action Regulation
Piano service is about much more than simply keeping the instrument in tune. I can help ensure your instrument is playing smoothly and efficiently.
Pitch Adjustment
When a piano is neglected, it can often be quite far out of tune. To bring it back to pitch requires some special attention.
